This Maestro series by Gibson is such a great value. Less than [...] bucks for a war ready rock machine. Just as cool feeling as any Les Paul Jr. or single pickup Melody Maker. It has a good vibe right out of the box. The kneck is silky smooth with maple back and rosewood fretboard. If you're an effects guy you will have no problems getting a good biting tone, it has a sweet blues sound and nice sustain for hard rock. It comes in many designs, I chose the Army Camoflage it looks really mean w the black pick guard, also comes with a little amp, strap, picks & extra strings good deal, I gave it 3 to 4 stars instead of 5 because of a little scratch and scrape on the finish on the edge by the input jack. It looked like it was packed well and factory fresh, so I don't know if it was taken out or not, anyway I plugged in right away to make sure it played well, because I hate returning things, and I was happy with it. Its been broken in. Great for beginners and young headbangers or big old overgrown kids like me who like lots of guitars around the house.
